Summary
Digital transformation has been occupying a wide variety of administrative areas for years. The land consolidation authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia are also facing up to this challenge. With the introduction of new software for processing land consolidation procedures and the use of new geodata, milestones of digitization have been reached in the recent past. The article looks back at the initial situation in the land consolidation authorities and places the methodological procedure in the overall context of an electronic administration. The paths taken to optimize business processes and the resulting challenges for (geo-)data management are outlined using various examples.
